Welcome to the Chicago Collective! We are proud of the growth of the Show and excited about the opportunities available for all of our Exhibitors. You’ll find this season to feature the best in every category, exciting events as well as fine amenities for both you and your clients.
This manual will guide you through the process of exhibiting at the Chicago Collective. It outlines helpful hints about the show and associated special events as well as useful information about theMART. Reference this page for promotional information and ways to maximize your exposure at the Show, operational recommendations for smooth move in, run of show and move out details, and frequently asked questions.

Yes. The CTA Brown and Purple lines have a stop called "Merchandise Mart" that drops visitors directly on the 2nd floor of the building. Multiple CTA bus routes are also accessible within 4 blocks. Visit transitchicago.com for more information.

No. Photographing, videotaping, filming, or sound recording is prohibited without prior written consent from Show Management.

All exhibiting companies are required to carry their own show insurance covering shipping, labor, loss, and damage to goods or property. You do not need to send insurance paperwork to Show Management.

Yes. Show security is on duty 24 hours a day from move-in through move-out. However, security cannot be relied upon to do more than provide a deterrent presence. We advise you to staff your booth at all times and not leave valuables unattended.

Packages are accepted Monday, July 27 through Friday, July 31, 2026. Packages delivered before July 27 will incur a storage fee of $74.80 per 100 lbs.
No goods will be brought up on Saturday. All goods must be delivered to the Mart by the end of shipping hours on Friday, July 31. -

No. FedEx and UPS deliveries to the Mart tend to be inconsistent during high-volume shipping periods. Even priority shipments may be significantly delayed. Deliveries received after Thursday, July 30 will be delivered to your booth as they are received and signed for.
Where possible, you may avoid delays by having express deliveries shipped to your hotel instead. -
For common carriers and large trucks: From I-90/94, exit at Ohio Street. Turn right onto Orleans, then right onto Hubbard, left onto Kingsbury, left onto Kinzie, then right into the dock at the stop sign.
For cars and small trucks: From I-90/94, exit at Ohio Street. Turn right onto Franklin, continue four blocks south to Kinzie, turn right, then left into the dock at the first stop sign. -
Yes. All freight must be no larger than 5' wide x 10' long x 5'8" high and weigh less than 2,000 lbs per piece. Freight exceeding these dimensions that MMPI does not feel safe turning on its side will be charged a handling fee of $74.80 per item, per trip. MMPI is not responsible for damage or loss during turning. Items too large to move will be held at the loading dock for unpacking, and an hourly surcharge will apply.
Each booth is allotted up to 7,500 lbs of drayage. Overages are charged at $74.80 per 100 lbs. -
UPS, FedEx, and common carriers are not allowed to pick up packages directly from the floor. Visit the Airways Freight desk — located in the operations office on the 7th floor and the operations desk on the 4th floor — to complete a shipping form and Bill of Lading. For $15 per item, Airways Freight will bring your packages to your carrier of choice.
All forms must be filled out and boxes must be properly labeled before pick-up. A representative of your company should remain with your property until it has been collected.
Airways Freight Systems is the preferred shipper and freight forwarder of the Chicago Collective. Any freight not picked up by Friday, August 7 may be rerouted at the exhibitor's expense via Airways Freight Systems.
Setup, Labor & Move-Out

Thursday, July 30: 8:00 am – 6:00 pm
Friday, July 31: 8:00 am – 6:00 pm
Saturday, August 1: 8:00 am – 11:00 am
All exhibitors must be fully set up by 11:00 am on Saturday, August 1. No construction, deliveries, or moving of products are permitted during show hours.
All crates must be unpacked and removed from the floor by Friday, July 31 at 6:00 pm. All empty trunks and boxes must be tagged and ready for removal by Saturday, August 1 at 11:00 am. -
Dismantling:
Tuesday, August 4: 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Wednesday, August 5: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm
POV Load-Out:
Tuesday, August 4: 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm (POVs only — begins upon completion of return of empties)
Common Carrier Pick-Up:
Wednesday, August 5: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm
All drivers must be checked in by 10:00 am. -
Union labor is required for:
• Installation and dismantling of all flooring and systems furniture
• Any work using power tools (must be done by in-house Carpenters)
• All painting, wallpaper, decal adhesives, and vinyl (must be done by in-house Painters)
• Electrical installations including chandeliers, light fixtures, light boxes, and TVs (must be done by in-house Electricians)
• Moving items with handcarts, flatbeds, or dollies (Material Handling labor required)

You may set up your own display if all of the following apply:
• One person can complete the task in under 30 minutes
• No tools are used
• The booth is 100 sq ft (10×10) or smaller
For hanging items on walls, you may use small nails, small screws, or 3M removable hooks. Note: walls are only 1 inch thick, so use only ½-inch screws or shorter. Power tools, battery-operated tools, step stools, and ladders are strictly prohibited. -
Due to Chicago Fire Ordinances, packing materials may not remain on the show floor while the show is open. Obtain "EMPTY" labels from the Exhibitor Service Desk, mark your containers with your company name and booth number, and leave them in the aisle. THE MART staff will collect and return them at the end of the show. You will not have access to these containers during the show.

Yes. You may employ your own union labor through an Exhibitor Appointed Contractor (EAC). To do so, complete the EAC Form in advance.
EAC requirements:
• Must have a valid work order from you prior to move-in
• Must carry public liability and property damage insurance of at least $2,000,000, naming Merchandise Mart Properties, Inc., Merchandise Mart L.L.C., Vornado Realty Trust, Vornado Realty L.P., and GCJ Management, LLC as additional insured
• Must not solicit business on the show floor
• Must adhere to all show rules and labor regulations
• Must cooperate fully with MMPI on labor utilization -
Each booth space includes:
• Hard white walls
• Gray carpet
• 120V / 150-watt duplex electrical outlet
• 4 LED spotlights
• 1' x 4' ceiling light fixture
• Booth identification sign (company name and booth number)
• One chair
• One wastebasket

Models

• Models must be registered at the Model Registration desk in the 1st Floor Lobby and will need a model badge to enter the show floor.
• Models must remain in the booth at all times — walking the aisles is not permitted.
• Models may not change in restrooms or the Mother's Room. They must change into street clothes or robes before leaving the booth for any reason.
• Models may not wear gowns to the restroom.
• Complimentary lunch at the café is for retailers only — please provide food for your models in the booth.
• Models are not permitted to attend special or sponsored events intended as buyer amenities. -
